Kavitha Janardhan is a labor and employment and litigation attorney with over a decade of experience representing both businesses and individuals in wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower (anti-retaliation), and wage and hour disputes.
Kavitha began her career at a globally-recognized (AmLaw100) law firm in Chicago, IL, specializing primarily in management-side counseling and litigation, and has since successfully represented employees as an attorney in the Syracuse area. This background gives her the rare ability to understand complex legal issues from the perspective of both employers and employees in seeking the best of possible resolutions. She takes pride not only in her accumulated knowledge and tactical expertise as a litigator, but also in her role as a trusted advisor dedicated to the welfare of her clients.
Kavitha was raised in a diverse community in New Jersey before going on to earn a joint B.A. in History and Political Science at the University of Michigan and a JD from Boston College Law School, where she graduated cum laude. She is the loving mother of two young children and is committed to helping others by volunteering as a pro bono attorney through the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Onondaga County and serving on the Young Professionals Board for the CNY Diaper Bank.
In addition to the employment matters listed above, Kavitha also focuses her practice on the following substantive areas: Franchise and Motor Vehicle Dealer Disputes, Trademark Prosecution, Trademark Infringement, Trade Secret and Non-Compete Litigation, and Complex Commercial Litigation.
