Bousquet Holstein PLLC announces that after an extraordinary career, Ithaca attorney Randall B. Marcus has decided to retire.
Over his 40-year career, Randy developed a stellar reputation for his work in commercial real estate transactions, development and financing, and general business counseling. Randy represented an array of clients, including real estate developers, medical and other professional practices, financial institutions, local municipalities, closely held businesses and individuals.
Randy earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and received his law degree from New York University School of Law. After beginning his career at New York City firms, Randy spent most of his career as a partner with the Ithaca firms of Barney, Grossman, Dubow et al. and then Marcus Orkin Tesi. Randy and his partners joined Bousquet Holstein in 2021 as Senior Counsel.
Randy’s impact on the Ithaca community extended beyond his legal practice. Randy served in leadership positions with a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation, and has also been a long-time advisor on the Tompkins Trust Company Business Development Board, which works to promote local businesses in Tompkins and surrounding counties. Randy has a great passion for antique automobiles and aviation, acting as co-president of the Ithaca Old Car Club for over 25 years and co-founded the Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation.
Bousquet Holstein has been proud of its association with Randy, and we wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement, beginning with attending the fabled car London to Brighton antique auto rally. He has been an exemplar for our colleagues, and the firm will strive to provide the same level of professionalism, skill and thoughtfulness to our counsel as Randy has embodied during his career.
