The Feinstone Environmental Awards is one of the oldest and most respected programs in the environmental field, recognizing individuals for their outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship and community service.

This year's Feinstone Awards garnered a record-breaking number of donations, which will go directly toward scholarships for high-achieving SUNY ESF undergraduate and graduate students. Bousquet Holstein is proud to have been a presenting sponsor this year.

Phil’s leadership and extensive involvement in New York State's Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) have helped transform countless contaminated sites into safe, thriving spaces for communities across the state — including right here in Syracuse.

Since the program's inception in 2003, Phil has been at the forefront of educating stakeholders about the program's transformative potential, particularly its powerful tax incentives that help drive environmental remediation and economic revitalization.

Phil and his team have advised on some of the largest and most complex brownfield redevelopment projects across New York State, with a collective construction value exceeding $9 billion and claimed or anticipated BCP tax credits surpassing $1.5 billion.

In addition to Phil's undeniable legal and environmental impact, the attorneys and staff at Bousquet Holstein look up to Phil for his humility, loyalty to his colleagues, and unwavering advocacy for our community. Phil has served on a number of community organizations throughout his career and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST).

Congratulations, Phil, on this well-deserved honor! Your values and achievements truly embody the spirit of this award. We also extend our congratulations to Mayor Ben Walsh, who was the other honoree of the evening.
