Background
Marisa has long been drawn to the courtroom and direct client advocacy. While attending law school at Syracuse University College of Law, she worked as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, where she appeared in court on behalf of clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Elmira College, where she interned with the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. During her time with the DA, she supported trial attorneys with legal research and case preparation — gaining early insight into how cases are built and tried from a prosecutorial perspective.
