ITHACA, N.Y. – Bousquet Holstein PLLC is pleased to announce that attorneys Randall B. Marcus, Jonathan A. Orkin, and Virginia A. Tesi, and paralegals Shelley B. Love, Ellen M. Walsh, and Nancy Coole, formerly of the highly-regarded Ithaca law firm of Marcus Orkin Tesi LLP, have joined the firm.

Currently, they will continue to work from their offices at 200 East Buffalo Street in Downtown Ithaca. Bousquet Holstein opened its current Ithaca office on January 1, 2019 at 121 East Seneca Street and the firm plans to bring everyone under one roof as soon as possible.

The new Bousquet Holstein legal team will work collaboratively with the firm’s existing Ithaca attorneys and staff, as well as with the attorneys and staff in Syracuse and New York City, to provide experienced legal counsel to clients in Ithaca and Tompkins County, the Finger Lakes Region, and the Southern Tier.

Randall B. Marcus:

Randy Marcus has practiced law for more than 35 years focusing on commercial real estate transactions; zoning, planning, land use, and municipal law; real estate development; and counseling a wide array of business clients. Randy has represented clients ranging from medical practices to restaurants, from specialty manufacturing companies to fruit farmers, from hotel developers to hardware stores, and everything in between.  Randy has also served as an adjunct professor teaching real estate law at Cornell University. Randy is a long-time member of the Tompkins Trust Company Business Development Board, and he is a founding member and president of the Ithaca Aviation Heritage Foundation and the co-president of the Ithaca Old Car Club. Randy is a graduate of Cornell University and received his law degree from the New York University School of Law.

Jonathan A. Orkin:

Jon practices in a variety of areas of the law but primarily in the areas of divorce, child custody and child support litigation.  He is also trained in collaborative law and is a member of the Ithaca Area Collaborative Professionals. Jon has practiced law in Ithaca and the surrounding counties since 1983. Jon serves as the attorney for the Ithaca Housing Authority, as a lecturer in the trial advocacy program at the Cornell University School of Law, as Town Justice for the Town of Genoa, New York, and as a member of the King Ferry Fire Department. Jon is a graduate of Ithaca College, earned his master’s degree at the University of Michigan, and graduated from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was honored with membership in the Order of the Coif.

Virginia A. Tesi:

Virginia Tesi focuses her practice on commercial and residential real estate transactions and general business matters.  She serves as counsel for institutional and private mortgage lenders, real estate developers, and small business owners in commercial real estate transactions. She regularly assists CFCU Community Credit Union in closing commercial mortgage and construction loans, and Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins & Cortland Counties, Inc. in providing affordable housing opportunities to lower income families.  She also meets the unique needs of hundreds of homeowners and owners of residential rental property to purchase, sell, or finance their homes and represents many of the local and regional mortgage lending institutions. Virginia regularly serves as transactional counsel for corporations, limited liability companies and other business entities in all phases of their business development. Virginia is a graduate of Binghamton University and Cornell Law School.
