Bousquet Holstein PLLC is pleased to announce that attorney Rebecca R. Cohen has been elected a Member of the firm.
Cohen joined the firm in 2017 and served as an integral part in expanding Bousquet Holstein’s Immigration Practice Group.
Cohen focuses her immigration practice on employment-based petitions and visas; transitioning from a student exchange visitor status to employment; family-based green card applications, removing conditions, citizenship and naturalization; and counseling clients on a variety of complex immigration problems.
Cohen is certified by Mediation Works Inc. and the New York Peace Institute, bringing a collaborative, solution-focused approach to her law practice, and an ability to listen well and understand her clients’ interests and needs.
Prior to joining Bousquet Holstein, Cohen served as Associate Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Deputy Director of Development for the Reach Out and Read National Center, in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to this, she practiced law in several New York City firms, focusing on class action litigation and labor and employment matters.
Cohen is an active pro bono volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project of CNY, Inc., recently securing asylum for her client and receiving a Pro Bono Champion award in 2020.
Cohen earned her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of InterFaith Works, Inc. and on the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education.
