She brings a dynamic international legal background with experience in corporate law, tax strategy, and business immigration matters.  

Prior to joining Bousquet Holstein, Sylvia was a staff attorney at the Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY. Additionally, she gained experience at a local business law firm where she focused on entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, and employment-based immigration.

Sylvia began her career as a Tax Law Clerk at Baker McKenzie in Mexico City and later advised high-end hospitality clients on business and tax matters at a boutique firm in Los Cabos. 

A native of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico – Sylvia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law from El Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City before earning her Master of Laws (LL.M) from Syracuse University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New York and the United Mexican States.  

Sylvia is on the Board of Directors of YWCA of Syracuse & Onondaga County, Inc., and is Chair of their Governance Committee.
