
Bousquet Holstein PLLC is pleased to announce Andrew J. Castelletti has joined the firm as an associate attorney.
Castelletti brings experience in multistate taxation and corporate transactions, with a focus on tax planning, risk management, and available tax incentives. In addition, his experience encompasses a broad range of state and local tax (SALT) matters, including multistate corporate income, sales and use, franchise, property, and withholding tax issues, as well as audits and controversy matters before state taxing authorities and the Internal Revenue Service.
Castelletti will focus his practice on the tax aspects of real estate development projects, focusing on projects developed under New York's Brownfield Cleanup Program. He will help clients navigate complex tax considerations in development projects, including tax planning, transaction finance and equity structuring, due diligence, and tax controversies.
Prior to joining the firm, Castelletti worked at Andersen Tax in Philadelphia where he was a Senior Associate in the State and Local Tax group. In that role, he advised clients on complex multistate tax matters, including tax due diligence, audit defense, and strategic tax planning for businesses operating throughout the United States.
While attending Syracuse University College of Law, Castelletti served as a Student Attorney in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, where he represented taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and prepared filings for the United States Tax Court. He also interned with the Oneida County District Attorney's Office.
Castelletti earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Siena University. He is admitted to practice in New York State and before the United States Tax Court.
