
Tania Anderson serves as Of Counsel to Bousquet Holstein PLLC in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice Group. She works part-time out of the firm’s Syracuse office.
Tania focuses her legal practice on trusts and estates, elder law, and disability-related planning. As the mother of a daughter with a disability, she brings professional expertise and deeply personal insight to her work. She is especially passionate about helping families navigate the complex and often emotional process of establishing supplemental needs trusts and other planning tools for long-term care and financial security.
A Syracuse native, Tania has dedicated her career to public service, giving back to her community and enriching disability services in Central New York.
Experience
Prior to joining Bousquet Holstein, Tania served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of ARISE Child and Family Service, Inc., a Syracuse-based nonprofit dedicated to promoting the independence and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. Under her leadership, ARISE averaged $23 million in revenue, employed more than 600 people and served 5,000 people annually across the Central New York region. During her time at ARISE, Tania was repeatedly recognized in the media for her leadership, advocacy, and contributions to the disability community.
Most recently, Tania has provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations in the region, advising on governance, capacity-building and compliance and drawing upon her extensive training in leadership and organizational development.
Tania’s legal career includes substantial experience in the state and federal court systems. She served as Principal Law Clerk to the Honorable Deborah H. Karalunas in the New York State Supreme Court in Syracuse. She also clerked for the Honorable Rosemary S. Pooler on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, both in Syracuse, and for the Honorable Richard J. Cardamone of the Second Circuit in Utica, New York. As a career law clerk, Tania engaged in research, writing and litigation management across the full spectrum of civil and criminal legal matters, including complex commercial litigation.
