
María Camila Ordóñez Santamaría supports Bousquet Holstein PLLC’s Business & Commercial Practice Group while she awaits the results of the New York State Bar Exam.
María brings to the firm experience in cross-border financial transactions, banking law, and structured finance, along with a strong international legal background rooted in both Colombia and the United States.
Background
A native of Colombia, María earned her law degree from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá. She began her legal career as a Junior Associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz, advising corporate clients on domestic and international financial transactions. She later joined Brigard & Urrutia, where she represented companies, investors, financial institutions, and multilateral organizations in complex financing and transactional matters. During her time at the firm, María also served on the Community Committee, contributing to the firm's social impact efforts.
María relocated to the United States to pursue an advanced legal education at Cornell Law School, where she focused on banking and financial law, structured finance, and corporate transactions. She currently resides in Ithaca, New York, and works out of Bousquet Holstein’s Ithaca and Syracuse offices.
