Ana Sylvia Espinosa de Los Monteros Gutiérrez is an Associate attorney in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. She brings a dynamic international legal background with experience in corporate law, tax strategy, and business immigration.
Background
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico – Sylvia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City. Sylvia began her career as a Tax Law Clerk in the Oil and Gas Practice at Baker McKenzie in Mexico City, where she supported transnational corporations doing business in Mexico through subsidiaries and permanent establishments.
She later joined Alarcón Lozano y Auditores, a boutique law firm in Los Cabos, where she advised high-end hospitality clients—including exclusive hotels and restaurants—as well as private companies across various industries.
After relocating to Syracuse, New York, Sylvia continued her practice at a local business law firm where she focused on entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, and employment-based immigration. She also served as a staff attorney at the Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY.
