Shelley works in the Ithaca office and is a paralegal in the Residential and Commercial Real Estate Practice Group with over 23 years of experience closing residential and commercial real estate transactions. Mortgage lenders appreciate Shelley’s ability to deftly manage client expectations, accurately draft closing documents and calmly and confidently oversee hundreds of transactions a year. Residential clients quickly come to realize that her vast knowledge of the home buying, selling and mortgaging processes help them avoid unnecessary delay in getting to closing.
For the 12 years prior to joining Bousquet Holstein, Shelley worked closely with Randall B. Marcus and Virginia A. Tesi of Marcus Orkin Tesi LLP, in Ithaca, New York, and remains an integral part of their real estate team since all of them joined Bousquet Holstein.
Shelley earned her Paralegal Associates Degree from Tompkins Cortland Community College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of Oswego where she dual majored in American Studies and History. While attending SUNY Oswego, she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega Co-ed National Service Fraternity where she volunteered on many community service projects including Adopt-A-Highway, provided pet therapy at local nursing homes, and coordinated with the local police department to fingerprint and photograph children with their parents for safety and identification kits.
In her free time, Shelley enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking the many local trails and waterfalls in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York with her family and friends.
