Tom Taylor recently stepped down as Chair of the Upstate Medical University Council. Tom has served on the Council since his appointment in 2010 by then Governor David Patterson.  During his tenure on the Council, Tom worked with the President of the University and fellow Council members to provide advice and guidance to the institution, which is the largest employer in the Central New York region.  Tom chaired the selection committee which recommended the appointment of Danielle Laraque Arena as President following Gregory Eastwood’s term.  Tom considered his time on the Council as one of the most rewarding and fulfilling opportunities in his professional career.  Although Tom has stepped down from the Council, he intends to remain actively engaged to this very important community asset.
