1L 2025 Summer Program (Syracuse and Ithaca, NY)
The Bousquet Holstein 1L Summer Program provides an outstanding law student with a demonstrated commitment to an inclusive community with training and mentorship geared towards building strong skills for the legal profession. The program runs for approximately 10 weeks and affords a student a paid opportunity to work alongside attorneys in both offices (Syracuse and Ithaca) and in all of the firm’s practice areas. The student will also participate in firm events and activities, as well as community-wide events attended by attorneys and professional staff of the firm.
Eligibility:
Candidates must:
- be a full-time student in good standing in their first year of law school at an ABA-accredited law school.
- demonstrate a commitment to our core beliefs through life and work experiences.

Process:
The hiring committee will review applications and select candidates for interviews. Initial interviews will be conducted via Zoom between January 21st and January 24th with call backs occurring in-person at one of our offices the week of January 27th.
After reviewing application materials and conducting interviews, the selection committee will choose the candidate that best demonstrates a commitment to our core beliefs.

Librarian (Syracuse, NY)

Librarian
This position is responsible for managing the firm's legal research materials, monitoring acquisition and renewal of those resources, preparing an operating budget, negotiating and monitoring vendor contracts, and allocating, organizing and disseminating legal resources. Function includes (1) research, analysis and evaluation of the accuracy, quality and validity of information, (2) coordinate training for legal professionals, (3) organizing, classifying, maintaining and finding law library resources and materials, and (4) assisting/providing back-up coverage to the new matter/conflict checking process. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide legal and non-legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals

- Complete time entry and billing to ensure accurate payment
- Provide sophisticated calendar management for Attorneys. Coordinate meetings including in-person, virtual and conference calls.

Corporate/Brownfield Administrative Assistant (Syracuse, NY)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Executive-level administrative support, serving as a primary trusted point of contact and steady communication for clients, other professionals, and internal colleagues

Tax and Development Finance Attorney (Syracuse, NY)
Bousquet Holstein, PLLC, a mid-sized law firm with offices in Syracuse and Ithaca, NY with a variety of local, regional, national, and international clients, is seeking to hire an attorney experienced in federal taxation and in ownership and equity structures for business transactions and real estate development projects, including federal and New York State tax credit transactions.

Experience:
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Tax-informed structuring of commercial real estate (including multifamily) development transactions;
- Formation of limited liability companies, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities, including experience with allocation structures for multi-tiered LLCs/partnerships to achieve economic agreements among project owners and investors;
- Transaction and project financing experience with developers, investors, lenders, governmental agencies, and bond issuers;
- Planning, negotiating, and structuring project finance involving federal business tax credits (e.g., green energy/investment, low-income housing, and rehabilitation (historic properties) tax credits), state tax credits (NYS tax credit experience in particular), and other state and local economic development programs and incentives; and

Required Competencies:
- Licensed to practice law in New York State
